Drill holes in the mounting bracket to where it centers on the wall and the new holes hit stud center.

On drywall walls raised or sunken imperfections running vertically indicate fasteners that secure the panels to the studs.
That means you can only use 2 lag bolts to secure the wall mount.
Determine your television placement on the wall and mount plywood if needed.
Instead use masonry anchors when fastening the mount to the wall.
If a stud does not fall dead center to where you want to hang your television you will need to mount a piece of scrap plywood on two studs in order to create a solid surface for your hardware.
On the off chance you can t hit any studs you can just use hollow wall anchors provided by the manufacturer.

If there is a doubt about only two screws holding the weight involved then use larger screws and pre drill the stud with a smaller bit size to keep from splitting the stud.
